Smokey McKeen, the owner and icon of Pemaquid Oyster Company, was among the vanguard when folks first started cultivating oysters in the Damariscotta River. He's been at it since 1986 and, along with this crew, knows how to grow an amazing oyster that is much of a household name for oyster lovers. He's a leader among the river community, organizing events like the annual Pemaquid Oyster Festival, which raises funds for the Edward Meyers Marine Conservation Foundation.

Nothing Better than Glidden Point Oysters
My husband was thrilled to receive these oysters from Glidden Point. I bought them for him for Christmas. They came by federal express beautifully packaged and perfectly cold. He rated them as some of the best he's ever had (other than when we visited the farm in person! He'll never get over that experience!). Thank you for making his Christmas special!
The ordering was easy, the communication regarding the shipment, as well as the actual shipment (to New York) were excellent. The oysters arrived in perfect condition. Fresh and delicious! We visited the farm several times while in Boothbay this past summer so we know the quality of your oysters, it was a treat to be able to enjoy them off season. We will definitely order again.

Did a Christmas pre-order of these oysters to New York. They arrived on time. They lasted perfectly in the refrigerator from Wednesday until Christmas on Saturday. Each oyster was delicious. None were wasted. They were just as delicious as they are on the dock or at the shuck station in Maine! Tasty and Briney. Thanks Glidden Point!
