50 Count Damariscotta River Wild Oysters
These beautiful oysters are harvested by hand from the banks of the Damariscotta River where they grow wild. These unadulterated, free range bivalves have a sweet plump meat and a clean, crisp, briny finish that fans of this growing area will be well accustomed to!
Wilds are great on the halfshell, but are also an excellent option for grilling, frying and steaming! Try them today with Lemon Chive Butter from Casco Bay Creamery!

Five star oystersThis shipment came through in flying colors . They are extremely fresh really nice and salty very juicy and wonderful
Love the oysters from your area, and love visiting your area. My buddy Mitch-man at Midcoast Kayak sent me your way and i didn't find you immediately when looking for a local grower with shipping via google, so not sure why google didn't help that initial search. but it did not really matter as i planned to ask for some guidance anyway. As for the oysters, my friends here loved them, the wonderful brine spoke of just pulled freshness, and most oysters were nicely fattened. However i did think some were a little small for harvesting. A couple were pale and skinny, and a few a little dirty, but all in all it was a pleasure to be popping your oysters for guests. I have perhaps been spoiled by prior slurpings of some monster-sized oys from your river basin, but trust that your business can continue to thrive as conditions change in challenging times. i will be coming back to you for more again before long, and likely to recommend you to some chef friends when we discuss Maine seafood and living. I just shot off your info to a chef in Key West.
Both types of oyster were great. Clams too. Can’t wait to visit there in a few weeks as we have the past two years.
My order was finally received two days after Glidden shipped it. The outside box was damaged due to the dry ice melting because the top lid was not taped shut thereby causing it to evaporate inside foam and my product was warm upon receipt after being in an Atlanta FedEx warehouse for 24 hours on Friday. I’ve emailed and left phone message with Glidden on Friday and Saturday and heard nothing. I think this is my sixth order with your company and I love your product but I’m so disappointed that as of now I haven’t heard anything after giving my phone numbers and sharing photos of the damaged delivery. Fedex complained that they’re short staffed. Perhaps you should consider other shippers since they told me they didn’t have the personnel. I refused to eat the warm oysters and asked for a refund. With the volume of your sales via Fedex I would think you could resolve the damage you received from the order and refund my payment. I do plan to order again if this can be resolved. If not, I will seek other means to resolve. i stayed home Saturday until damaged shipment received. I was planning to use them as a special appetizer at a lunch but of course that didn’t happen. Since this is Sunday, perhaps someone will call me on Monday.Again, I am a loyal customer and have referred this company to my friends and that’s why I’m disappointed that when I needed someone to help nothing happened. Thanks for asking.
Fabulous ! Ordering was easy. They came quickly and were outstandingly delicious. We’re planning our next order!
