Norumbega Oysters are known for their hardy bottom cultured Damariscotta Oyster staple. Eric Peters is trying his hand at surface cultured product to carry them through the hard winter months, where diving is nearly unthinkable. Eric has been farming Norumbegas in the Damariscotta River since 2006. He’s an integral part of the oyster community on the river and is constantly working hard to deliver some of the best oysters around.
Location: Damariscotta River, ME
Technique: Bottom Cultured. Started from seed and grown out to market grade on the bottom of the river.
Appearance: Pleasantly well-shaped round shells

It was my first time ordering oysters online it I was not disappointed at all. I live in Florida and I don’t like oysters that are sold here. When I came up to Damariscotta I fell in love with their oysters and decided to order them. They were fresh and delicious! I can’t wait to try the Glidden points again when they become Available!!!! Norumbegas were good but I still love the Glidden points. Their packaging was great and delivery was on point!!
