Raft Purged Littleneck Clams
Delicious littleneck clams are harvested from the Damariscotta River and then allowed to purge in our floating wet storage rafts so they are grit and sand free! Excellent raw or in your favorite clam dish, these littlenecks are sweet, tender and clean.
To start these are really good clams. The quality, the flavor, etc.. We use the clams to make linguine and clams. My only comment is that ALL littlenecks are small. I prefer a large clam (i.e. - cherrystone) but these are hard to find now. Again, these are really good clams and if you love clams then you will love these clam.
They were very good, and clean. They were a bit small, though.
The best! So clean and delicious- perfect raw and a treat on the grill.
Made a wonderful dish of steamed clams with garlic, wine. Then dipped the broth with bread very yummy.
We really enjoyed the clams! Best we’ve had in many years We are originally from Florida and eat more seafood than meat. We now live outside of Louisvillel KY. I’m hear to tell you, you can’t get good seafood here! We also have an order in for clams and oysters in a few weeks for our anniversary. Love both, clams and oysters!
