It doesn't get any more New England-y than Maine.
Winter comes early and stays late. But we make the best of it by finding ways to warm our bodies and our souls.
This year we had record-breaking number of visitors to our farm. Some came to learn about oyster farming. Some shucked oysters on our patio. Some came by to hang with friends as our DJ spun the chillest, hippest records he could find.
But as the temp drops, it is the sauna that beckons. Sauna experiences are suddenly all the rage. This year, The New York Times wrote about the return of the bathing culture.
The city of Chicago has a new sauna at the lake's edge with cold plunge. The Boston Globe magazine lists places to seek out the warmth - and guess what? It's Maine's spas and saunas that make the cut.

Give it a try! Open October - May. Sauna bookings open a month in advance. Choose from our floating sauna or our riverside sauna. Learn more here.
